How Sciton Erbium Contour TRL works

Erbium Contour TRL is an excellent micro-ablative resurfacing technology that drastically improves skin texture without the downtime of conventional full field ablation. Unlike full field resurfacing which removes the entire skin surface of the area being treated, ProFractional creates micro-channels of ablation within the skin and only a fraction of the skin is treated resulting in increased patient comfort and shorter healing times.

Length of treatment

While the face and neck can typically be treated within 30 minutes, the actual time will depend on the area treated.

Downtime

Downtime is anywhere from 3-7 days, dependent upon settings used and individualized healing. Redness, swelling, peeling, dryness, and punctate bleeding are expected side effects in the first few days of healing.

Results

This procedure is utilized as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with other Sciton treatments. Erbium Contour TRL is an excellent micro-ablative resurfacing technology that drastically improves skin texture. Tunable results range from subtle to dramatic. Ablating micro-channels means skin can heal quickly while increasing skin turgor and thickness. Collagen remodeling will occur over the next 2-3 months.
